Kinesiotherapy as used by us here at West Medic refers to use of movement for the purpose of treatment or to alleviate the consequences of pathological conditions in a given dysfunctional area, such as shoulders and hips. Process is both active and passive, meaning that physical therapist can apply the movement and patient can also assist in that movement. Since every patient is different in their levels of physical condition and status, these consideration will be evaluated by the doctor and proper frequency, intensity and duration of the treatment will be determined by those factors. Kinesiotherapy can be a valuable tool in helping the patient relearn how to move so that they can return to normal daily life activities without experiencing pain.
